REMINDERS:
The City’s SIDEWALK ordinance states that property owners will be given 48 hours to clear all sidewalks of snow, ice and debris from sidewalks and to keep and maintain them free from hazards and unsafe conditions. Snow is NOT to be pushed into the streets. Violation of this ordinance will result in the City hiring the work done and assessing the costs plus administrative fees to the homeowners’ property taxes.
City ordinance states : “If a property owner does not remove snow, ice, or accumulations within 48 hours, the City may do so and assess the actual costs of the removal plus an administrative fee of $50 dollars against the property owner for collection in the same manner as a property tax.”
VEHICLES are to be removed from city streets in a snow emergency. A snow emergency is constituted by 1 inch or more of snow fall.
*** Please note that if your vehicle is not off of the road during a snow emergency the Butler County Sheriff's office will give you a ticket.
