Wilder Park Mowing Bid Specifications
***Mowing bid should be for FULL season*** (not per time or per week)
Weekly:
The main park should be mowed once per week Main Park includes:
Main area - Shelter #1, Shelter 2, chapel, large rock, lodge, arboretum (west of the Lodge), mountain, and area east of the buddy sites to the east trail. Both seasonal sites outside the drive in both areas.
Main entrance road and adjacent areas easily visible from the drive plus west to southwest corner.
RV rental sites including Buddy Sites
Adjacent to ALL trails - from trail to park boundary, paralleling service road prairie or woods (whichever applies)
Borders of exit trail from corner in in-park bike trail to Rolling Prairie
Trail.
Area between west prairie (south of the west seasonal sites. Around south pond
Southwest border to dog park entrance
Every two weeks:
Mow trails for frisbee golf on what is currently mowed.
Maps are available with the expected areas highlighted. We welcome viewing of the expected mowing areas. Any questions, please contact the phone # listed below.
Bids are due to Allison City Hall by 4:00 p.m. Monday November 9th, 2026. Proof of liability insurance must be included with bid. Successful bidder will sign a contract with the Park Board. Mower is expected to provide their own equipment & fuel. The Allison City Council/Allison Park Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and reserves the right to cancel the contract if mowing does not meet the contract terms. Bids will be presented to the Council on Monday November 9th, 2026 at 5:15p.m. Maps are available with the highlighted mowing expectations. The Allison City Council is now accepting bids for mowing of the Allison Cemetery for the 2027 mowing season.
Bids are for each mowing. Every time it is mowed it is expected to be trimmed. Bids are due to Allison City Hall by 4:00 p.m. Monday November 9th, 2026.
Proof of liability insurance must be included with bid. The successful bidder will sign a contract with the City of Allison.
The mower is expected to provide their own equipment and fuel.

NOTICE OF A PROPOSAL TO SELL CITY REAL ESTATE AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Allison, Iowa, shall consider adoption of a proposed resolution after a public hearing to be held at 5:15 p.m., at the Council Chambers in City Hall, 502 Locust, Allison, Iowa, on November 9, 2026, to approve the proposal to sell real estate at 410 North Main Street in Allison, Iowa, that is the old city hall building, legally described as
Lots 247, 248 and 249 in the Town of Allison, Iowa
In the following manner:
The City shall take sealed bids of at least $5,000.00, until 4 p.m. on November 9, 2026, at City Hall, 502 Locust Street, Allison, Iowa. Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit of 5% of the bid amount in the form of a cashier’s check, a letter of credit, or other good funds. The bids shall be opened at 5:15 p.m. on November 9, 2026. All bidders submitting qualifying bids shall be invited to meet at 5:15 p.m. on November 9, 2026, at which time they will be given the opportunity to raise their bids. The sale of the property is subject to final council approval. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid. The Council may consider a resolution at its next meeting after November 9, 2026, to approve the sale to the winning bidder.
